About

Hi! I’m Liz and I have been a pet lover all of my life! I grew up with a variety of animals that included birds both large and small! We had a toucan, macaws, cockatoos, cockatiels, parakeets, and Quaker parrots growing up. I, also, had hamsters, gerbils, turtles, a guinea pig, and a variety of fish over those year. Eventually as an adult, I got into even more of a variety of pets including sugar gliders, bearded dragons, cats, and (of course) dogs! Currently, I own 3 dogs and a cat. My pups are a 15 year old Cairn Terrier named Molly, a 9 year old Great Dane named Roo, and a 7 month old Irish Wolfhound named Finen. The oldest in the bunch is my cat, Tiger, who is 16 years old.

I’ve been involved in professional pet care since 2005. I started working for a local vet prior to finishing high school. I worked as a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist for about 8 years here in Syracuse and in the Rochester area, which included rounds at a 24 hour emergency and specialty care center. I also spent some time working for a local pet store building my knowledge in the care of other animals. Eventually,  my career led me away from pet care full time for a while.

I ended up managing at some local apartment complexes where my passion for pets could still be used as I aided in getting complex owners to start accepting pets, and/or amend their policies on what could be accepted. Additionally, my knowledge in both areas helped new owners find the right pet for them and help pets adjust to their new homes. Despite, not being able to do pet care full time, I continued to board and pet sit in my home during that time.

In October of 2020, with a special thanks to Covid-19 wreaking havoc on the employment industry, I was able to get back to my passion of caring for pets full time. The timing could not have been more perfect! So many homes had adopted pets while homebound during the covid shut downs, and now most owners were looking for somewhere there pets could go after being so used to having someone home with them all day. So, I dove into revisiting my education and became a certified dog obedience trainer while beginning to build my clientele and launching my business.

2022 was a big year for my little business. I received my dog trainer certification early in the year, and spent the rest of the year focusing on building my pack. Once summer hit, business exploded. Now, I have an amazing pack family both furry and non that I adore! They have helped my business come so far through their recommendations and I am so grateful to each and every one of them that my business is able to continue to expand! I cant wait to see where we continue to go together.
